S-View Case Issues: why aren't my notifications appearing?

S-View Case Issues

I'm sure this has been asked and answered. I had the Note 3 and now the Note 5 (both on Sprint). I bought the Samsung OEM S-View case for both. I have the same issue; notifications do not appear on the phone. I do see incoming calls via the S-View cases but nothing else. If I use a third party app called S-View Plus the S-View and S-View Clear work as expected. The Note 3 is running Lollipop 5.0.1 and the Note 5 is running Lollipop 5.1.1.Any ideas?

Its possible that Sprint has something to do with this, given the US carriers penchant for disabling, removing or outright crippling features. Try the S-View case on another carriers phone to see if it works. It could also, possibly be in the settings but somehow I doubt it if since you can use a 3rd party app and are achieving it. Sprint could be the issue.
