S10+ T-Mobile update rolling out Today

In denial? Are you seriously that hurt?

"Hurt"? That's crazy.

If anyone, it's you who seems "hurt" that anyone would dare call Samsung out on this POS technology of theirs.

Regardless, facts are facts. And to declare "you're doing it wrong" or "it worked 25% of the time before, now it's up to 60% of the time! YUUUGE improvement!" is crazy, in a world where it used to work very very fast 100% of the time before they decided to change it out to accommodate the blogosphere's "MUST HAVE ALL SCREEN! BEZELS SUCK!" mantra.

I'm not willing to accept that anything less than the bar that has been set by previous sensors. Users want the functionality, not the form.

And no, it doens't respond to the "lightest touch" at all. And it will tell you that. "Press harder"--even during fingerprint registration. And then it doesn't like it that you "did it wrong" and wants you to do it over, never mind that you're doing exactly what you did with the old sensor.

If the way a phone works is that huge of a deal then people should just return it. If a phone operating in a way it would bother me this much, then I would return it and go back to what worked. There's no better way to get a company's attention then getting in their checkbook. A bunch of phones coming back would do that. Keeping them and hoping for a fix in a future update like this, does nothing.

Not to derail the topic of this thread.... But the S10 face unlock has little security. Can be easily fooled with a photo. Apple FaceID like Microsoft Windows Hello are in a different league.
I think "easily" is an inaccurate description. I've tried to fool mine with a picture on my tab s4 with the faster unlock mode selected and was unsuccessful.

Agreed. While it's not secure enough to be trusted with mobile payments, financial information and so forth, as an every day quick unlock method, it's fine. I swear these last few years will be remembered as the paranoid years, where some random hacker is going to steal your phone, pull up photos of you, unlock your phone and....do what exactly? Post on Twitter without your consent? 😂

Even if that's the only thing I still wouldn't want that. Just because you take security with a relaxed approach definitely doesn't mean we all do :P

No. I'm just not paranoid. No one has ever gotten into my phone, and likely no one will. No one even cares to be honest. I'm much more concerned with the collecting of my information by global companies. Because I'm tired of being constantly advertised to based on my search history.

Your mileage may vary obviously.

Mod note: that is quite enough bickering. Please keep the discussions civil and on topic. We don't need to be discussing each other, just the topic. Thank you.

While I understand some are less concerned about security there are plenty of companies / enterprises that people work for that are and do take security seriously.

Being security conscious doesn't make anyone paranoid .. but to each their own :P.

To a certain point of course. But after that it's a hollow concern. If someone really wants to get into your phone, they're getting in(unless you go with a code, and who has time for that? 😂)Remember that kid that hacked his mom's Face ID? A kid...

Can't waste my time worrying about it. But go for it if you must. 😊
