This is might be obvious, but thought I'd post for reference.

The s2 email app only works with the generic samsung email phone app. New emails that reach your watch will be accessible via the watch application, so you can maintain an (new) email history on the S2. If you have the hand-off function enabled, emails received while using your phone won't appear in the s2 email list.

Other email apps will provide standard notifications to which you can reply, etc. But once the notification is dismissed, they are gone.

Kinda lame since the stock email client is pretty junky. Hopefully, in the future, Samsung will allow other clients to run on the app, or allow developers to install their own management app.

Thanks for the heads up at least! It does seem strange the way it works.
 
Email is supposed to sync, meaning if you delete on the gear s2 it deletes in the stock email client. Can you confirm if that works? I'm very happy with the stock email client on the note 5.
 
Yes deletion on the watch is instant within the stock email app.

Actually it deletes from any email app, but not instantly like stock. Re sync and the email is gone

The email app on the S2 does not delete emails on the phone. I called Samsung about this and they told me it does work like that. I wish you could delete emails from the watch and have them deleted on the phone. If anyone know how to get this to work please let me know.
