But when I looked at phone it did not update. What happened?20200324_151303.jpegScreenshot_20200324-151413_Settings.jpeg

The version of firmware on this download site appears to be the same version that I have which was on my phone when I received it (G988USQU1ATAW). On AT&T's support site for the S20 phones, it says that G988USQU1ATBN was released on 3/4/2020. Also, after doing some more research, I found that the S20 Ultra firmware available on SamMobile is firmware version G988UOYN1ATCH which was released on 3/20/2020:

https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s20-ultra/firmware/#SM-G988U

But I am not sure if that will work on my AT&T locked phone. I see they list many carriers. But not AT&T. There is a version of G988UOYN1ATCH that just says USA in the Country / Carrier column though. Is the USA (no carrier identified) for version G988UOYN1ATCH a firmware that I can install on my AT&T locked S20 Ultra?
@Ruben Ocasio, do you have access to firmware G988USQU1ATBN?

Sorry for the beginner questions. This is my first time trying to use Odin and update the firmware of a Samsung phone.

Thanks!

never really went too deep into flashing firmwares on phones unless necessary, (i did it alot with blackberry though but never with samsung) is there a version of the international version, the ones without any carrier branding and bloatware??

You can download that ATCH as carrier firmware are universal , I'm not sure if Att has rolled their update out but when they do and it's different build numbers can always flash later to it , just remember to save data no factory reset use home CSC file in slot for Odin CSC

I'm sure the international should have that , but not familiar because international have many different country codes

I got ATT download files for ATCH from sammobile. Used on my unlocked ultra. Worked fine.

Thanks mustang7757 and Ruben for your assistance! I hope to be trying to do this later today.

I have two further questions...
1) The page that I downloaded Odin from (samsungodin.com), said that I needed to download ADB Fastboot. But in every set of directions I have seen on how to use Odin, it doesn't say what to do with ADB Fastboot and there doesn't seem to be an install for the ADB Fastboot either. Do I need to do anything with ADB Fastboot? If so, what?

2) From what I can gather, it looks like the USERDATA file is for carrier bloat and features. Is this correct? I am not sure if the latest firmware version G988UOYN1ATCH (dated 3/20/2020) which I found on SamMobile has been released by AT&T yet since the latest version I found on AT&T's support page is G988USQU1ATBN (dated 3/4/2020). Should I still go ahead and install the USERDATA file for firmware version G988UOYN1ATCH? I do want to use AT&T features like wifi calling and VoLTE.

Thanks in advance!

No need for adb commands

And yes I dont believe Att rolled the update out , so that's the latest security patch other carrier put out , if att comes with different patch number you'll need to flash to that to continue getting automatic software updates when you manual check in settings.

Yes user date in CSC of Odin will keep from factory rest, which will happen if you use regular CSC in odin
