S20 Ultra back to not receiving instant notifications again.

Lately my S20 Ultra is back to not receiving instant notifications again.

Like notifications from eBay, PayPal, Banking apps ETC.

No notification until I actually unlock the screen then they all come piling in at once.

Been down this road a million times and just don't know how to correct this mess?

Any new ideas ?

Yes on both. What I don't understand keeping apps from being put to sleep.

Apps/3 dots/Special access/optimize battery usage/all

Or go here:

Device Care/battery/App power management/ Apps that won't be put to sleep

These options do not play well together. I guess you either choose one or the other to keep the apps from being put to sleep.

Check your power mode not medium or set adaptive

Something causing this for it to pour in after you unlock the phone , try safe mode
Make sure you have not downloaded any cleaning apps,ad guards ,virus cleaners, etc

Yea, I have nothing like that. Is there any hidden feature that I'm unaware of that would cause this?
If the screen is on the notifications come in instantly.

Just curious, where do you store these apps that don't give instant notifications, app drawer or home screen?

Apps on a home screen are just shortcuts to the App itself which doesn't change its storage.

Funny how some apps get instant push notifications while others don't. I use Aqua Mail for my Gmail and it will receive new mail notifications right away while the actual Gmail app won't until I unlock the phone. My Ring alarm and cameras also work fine while eBay, PayPal ETC are delayed until I unlock the phone.

I'm ready to give up.

Make sure save data not toggled on
Then go setting type at the top. Optimize battery and go through the list and toggle the ones you want off

It's off and I've done this a thousand times. Maybe it's the new update I got from Verizon screwing me up. It will be another 6 months before a new Verizon update surfaces.

Same issue. My Note would not notify me for anything other than texts unless the screen was unlocked. I did all the tricks they said to do with power saving and the sleeping app thing.
Drove me nuts so I put it away and went back to my iPhone pro Max. I’ll be trading the Note 10 it in on the Note 20.

Everything was fine before this new update. Note 20 Ultra or new iPhone can't come soon enough.

Same. Definitely getting the new iPhone. Note 20 is also a definite just hoping they have cool colors lol like the new people s20+ purple color is awesome.

Try safe mode mode, it's something that changed
