S20 Ultra ... headaches?

I am not a doctor, but I think the headaches you are experiencing may be due to other situations, in addition to potential eye strain from using your phone. I get eye strain headaches sometimes too. Frustrating, for sure!

Is it raining a lot where you are? I get headaches when the barometric pressure drops.

If you are stressed, you may experience headaches.

If you are dehydrated or hungry, you may get headaches as well (this happens to me often).

I guess what I'm trying to say is, correlation does not equal causation. It may not be your new phone, specifically - it could be other things. We are living in very stressful times right now - getting headaches and feeling overwhelmed are definitely a part of that.

Keep well, drink water, and take a breath. If you need anything, we are here. :)

Also location could have something to do with it. I live in Georgia, and the pollen has really gone nuts the past several days. No matter how much Claritin I take I just have a constant headache b/c of seasonal allergies right now. Add that in with potential eye strain, and it's a recipe for headaches.

Absolutely, I live in AZ and the weather is shifting and we have had a lot of rain. Add that to sleeping with the windows open at night now have screwed my sinuses up bad. I take Zertec and Sudafed daily and still fighting it.

We had a mild winter this year with much more rain than normal. I think that's driven things into overdrive lately. Add that to already having all the bugs and such that come from mild winters + allergy season=a grumpy bear of a man. LOL

That is a very good point. I feel like I am starting to get seasonal allergies and have had sneezing issues for the past week. You are totally right that headaches could also be from having the pain and stuffiness that comes with seasonal allergies.

Have anyone experienced getting headaches from the S20 Ultra or any of the S20 line of devices?

I had mine since launch and all of a sudden started experiencing minor headaches. But today, I got a really bad one...to the point where I had to go lay down.

I'm assuming it may have something to do with eye strain, but I'm not sure.

Just wondering if anyone else experienced this before.

YES!!!!!! I have just contacted Samsung who said no one has complained ! I am having serious headaches with s20 .

If you want to see a great example of PWM, and funny this video came out so timely to mention it, check out this video below and forward to the 3min 25sec mark. He actually captures and shows on video what most won't notice naturally and mentions how other phones in past PWM bothered him but not this one. I guess everyone is different and for some there is a certain "frequency" that effects people. Funny this vid just shows up a day ago and mentions it.

I contacted Samsung too and they wanted me to have a technician look at the phone.

My Ultra is just sitting on my nightstand right now.

Watched the entire video after mu initial post... anyone see that crazy Samsung Ultra case at the 10 min mark?? Never seen a case like that so I gotta say it was pretty cool.

I had S20 for about 10 days. Could not stand the migranes. I used blue light, lower refresh rate got the app to minimize flickering. It's a great device but definitely not worth the headache and side effects. Had to return it.

I returned mine Thursday. I’m back on my previous device

Same, I would rather have an older device then deal with those headaches. Looks like OLED screens may be not be ideal for me. I also wonder if 5G had anything to do with those migranes.

Never thought about the 5G. But there’s no 5G in my area.

Also I got them before with the S10+.

I have had the Galaxy Note s20 ultra for 3 weeks and have been having terrible headaches. Just figured out what it was-- going to return it. Too bad. It's a great phone otherwise.

UPDATE: On with Verizon now. I'm two days beyond my "worry free" return period but they are going to let me exchange it anyway. Phew.

I have that case in grey on my S20 Ultra and like it a lot, very slim but not a whole lot of protection...it does get quite a bit of attention when I lay it face down and starts sparkling
