S21 Preorder Samsung Online

Re: S21 Reservation Page up..anyone jumping??

Wait you got $250? I was only offered $200 even though I pre-reserved. Hmmmm time to chat with samsung.
Yeah, they're offering $250 on the website (after pre-reserving). I haven't placed the order yet.

@acdmelani: may i ask why you dislike your S20 Ultra so much?

i dislike the CAMERAS on my S20 Ultra because of the terrible focus issue. i've never had a cellphone camera that can't focus! plus, worse yet, Samsung was NEVER able to fix it during the past 12 months of various firmware updates! that mean it's a difficult hardware issue, right?
Sucks they couldn't fix it. At least the S21 gets dual-pixel AF and not the crap phase-detection AF. So hopefully that should make it better.

Was waiting for the S21 news. But no sim card. So I might swap my S20 Ultra for the S20+.

Doesn't the new S21 phones have laser focusing?

Idk I give up. I've tried online, through rakuten, through shop Samsung and no matter what when trying to order either the web pages redirect me to other crap, or don't load, or it keeps saying they don't recognize my address. I can't tell if its bc I'm trying to order a Verizon model I want. I did get one through affirm but I'll cancel that once I'm hopefully be able to order one through samsung financed by Verizon. Oh and no matter what platform I use or what account I still only see 200 credit instead of 260.

I'm straddling the fence with this one...not to sure if I'm gonna order yet.

I was the same way until this morning. The $1199 starting price for the Ultra helped push me to upgrade from the S20 Ultra. Was expecting it to be a $1299 price. By the time they throw in the $200 promotional credit and the Rakuten cash back...I couldn't help myself!

$579 before sales tax. (512GB)

mmm, i ordered on samsung.com, @jlangner, where did you order from please?

i paid a total of $770, which is a whopping $200 more, i wonder why?

i bought the S21 Ultra 512gb, trading in the S20 Ultra, so that went from $1379.99 purchase price minus $700 trade in value.

the other stuff i bought were all at $0 due to the $250 freebies that you're able to buy but you must buy ON THIS ORDER (i.e. can't buy later).

so $1379.99 - $700 = $679.99

comparing oranges to oranges, you said BEFORE sales tax, so your $579 compares with my $679.

where would the $100 difference come from? confused!!

Im also hearing no MST :/
@echo_808: how often, i am wondering, would one still encounter stores that use card scanning devices that require the MST?

would it handicap Samsung Pay now that the S21 won't come with MST? or, is it so very rare that there are scanning devices without NFC that it's not an issue?

wondering out loud what the real world effects are of Samsung dropping MST, since that was initially THE OUTSTANDING feature of Samsung Pay when it first rolled out.

Depends where you're at. I know a few places that havent upgraded yet (smaller places). We still got vending machines that doesnt have NFC at work.

That and no Samsung Rewards (wasnt great but it was something)...I might finally swap to Google Pay. One of banks dont have Samsung Pay anyways.

Thats what I was saying, there was an extra $100 for t-mobile. $1379.99 - $700 - $100 = $579.sam.png

Is there a way to spend the $250 (or $200) Samsung Credit on accessories other than the ones they list as part of the S21 purchase process?

I was only able to select from the 2 tabs they had. You could ask thru chat if you don't use today will they be emailing the code to use later. That is what they did with S20, but not sure.

darn, i just saw that they will come out with the S Pen PRO later in the year, while currently, on Samsung's website, we can only get the S Pen (non-PRO) version with our $250 spending bonus.

oh well, that means they want to squeeze out another $xx from us later this year when they'll dangle the S Pen PRO in front of us when it comes out.

I went ahead and traded in my Galaxy S20 5G using the Samsung Shop App for the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G 512GB T-mobile model. Using the $260 instant accessory credits, I got the Galaxy Buds Pro, Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G S-Pen, and a 45 USB-C Fast Charging Wall Charger. Which also includes YouTube Premium for 4 months Free and a Free Galaxy Smart Tag. The total discount was $1,067.92 and the total out of pocket was $624.65.

Is there any major differences between the Samsung unlocked version and the T-Mobile variant?

I keep reading mixed reviews on this topic but just to be safe I stick with T-Mobile Branded phones for any specific spectrum and or features that are specific to T-Mobile like for instance their video call feature.

Yeah, I've always wondered if the T-Mo version is as good spectrum and data wise as the unlocked version on their network
