S21 Preorder Samsung Online

darn it, i'm feeling the "wait for UPS or FedEx" guy already, and it's a full 14 days away from arriving :(
Me too! I remember (I think) anxiously waiting with you last year.

This time I didn't see any option to pay extra for overnight shipping. Practicing patience. Think the S20 came two days early. At least since I'm WFH I don't have to wait till after work when it's delivered
 
Idk I give up. I've tried online, through rakuten, through shop Samsung and no matter what when trying to order either the web pages redirect me to other crap, or don't load, or it keeps saying they don't recognize my address. I can't tell if its bc I'm trying to order a Verizon model I want. I did get one through affirm but I'll cancel that once I'm hopefully be able to order one through samsung financed by Verizon. Oh and no matter what platform I use or what account I still only see 200 credit instead of 260.

My husband had all kinds of trouble yesterday. He just wanted a Verizon one and than it said they were out last night and it kept redirecting him to Samsung thinking he already had the phone and it said activate now. I finally had to long into his Samsung account on my phone using Shop app this morning but it worked. But than I had to cancel my order twice once cause we decided to get the 512 after I had ordered the 256 and than again cause it said I ordered unlocked and I wanted Verizon one. It's been a mess and now my phone which was ordered 2nd is on hold cause we got him a watch last week and haven't sent back that trade-in so my phones on a temporary hold. It's a mess!

i took me some time to get it just right at samsung.com in order to order the S21 Ultra 512gb.

i wanted the unlocked, 512gb S21 Ultra, and that came with a $700 trade in discount for my current S20 Ultra - weird that they NEVER give you ANY value at all for a higher GB of ram that you trade in, it's as though the ram is worthless when you trade it in!

anyway, there was a $250 freebie that you must use for this order only, i.e. use it right now or lose it.

for that amount, which is generous, i got the Buds Pro, the S-Pen (which i didn't even want), and a 45 Watt Fast Charger.

sadly, the ONLY color that's available is the Black. why wouldn't they even have the silver available, i wonder? that's really quite unfair to ask people to pay the TOP DOLLAR and give them the worst color options, i.e. no color options!

the final total was around $770 including the Samsung Care+ monthly fee. i thought for such a costly phone, just in case i break the glass, it would be helpful to have a quick and easy and fully legit way to fix it!

how's everyone else's experience today in placing this pre-order?

it seems to say that there is some sort of "premium shipping" included in the price, whatever that means. it's mumble jumble talk to not be specific about whether that means FedEx Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air or UPS or ...? they should know by now that enthusiasts like all of us here want our phones immediately/ASAP, so why wouldn't they do NEXT DAY AIR for, say, and additional small upcharge like maybe another $5.95 to just be nice about it? then, they may do a default fall back standard shipping of 2nd Day Air.

I just posted about my pre-order commenting on another post. But we were so upset too me more than my husband. I really wanted silver and I know their will be a case on it but still. And than the Ultra having no SD card sucked and hubby didn't want to pay 130 more for 512 when the 256 was only 50 more. But than he says I didn't tell him about the ram 12/16 so we now will get the 512 which is what I really wanted to begin with. I'm still on hold with Samsung about my order being put on hold cause we haven't sent back a trade in yet he got the latest watch and we need to send in his GearS3.
 
Pre ordered, as always the US unlocked version (never carrier models )

128GB base version S21 Ultra phantom black. Was tempting to go with custom colors but the 4-5 week isn't for me . Need it asap as usual.

Will do it for the next 6 months for Samsung phone itch until they drop new one.

For the freebies went with Buds Pro, 3 different cases and charging adapter. Had about $260 credits to use and it was hard to use on items since have most of the stuff.

Someone said the 45W stops super fast charging at 70% not sure no nothing about it and that I'll be fine with the 25W one which is still better than my 15W ones we have now from our other phones. And they said the difference between the 2 isn't much. And since it was $17.99 for the adapter only no cable I got 2 and just paid for one. I had like a $1.02 credit left after getting the Violet buds the pen and one travel adapter. Oh and I got this violet silicone case just to hold me over till my I-blason one comes. How come on my order next to the buds it says 16.95 charge that is weird.

Depends where you're at. I know a few places that havent upgraded yet (smaller places). We still got vending machines that doesnt have NFC at work.

That and no Samsung Rewards (wasnt great but it was something)...I might finally swap to Google Pay. One of banks dont have Samsung Pay anyways.


My husband uses Google Pay I use Samsung.
 
from my point of view, it just sucks and is so unfair for the top-of-the-line S21 Ultra model to be ONLY available in black. what's with that???

you'd think that with all that extra cost, at least Samsung can provide an extra SKU for a few additional colors for the 512gb variant! you make people pay through their noses, well, try to deliver a little SOMETHING nice, a little something extra for these particularly good clients, right?

merely black! not even black and white and silver, 3 very basic colors! even if they'd only do these three colors, black, silver, and white, that's just barely acceptable. not exciting, but at least some choices - de minimus.

Yeah, the made to order colors available but unlocked only, and then there is the wait. ;)

I thought the same thing yesterday morning. But then I saw the black S21 Ultra and thought it looked pretty sick. Then I thought about the business strategy side of mass producing an initial model in one neutral color so they don't have inventory exposure with colors that don't sell initially. Was also willing to forgive them for the one color thing being that they dropped the price of the phone by $200 this year.

On a side note, I can't figure out how to work my private messages...not sure if you got my reply earlier today.

Went to see if they had the Samsung Buds Pro in stock but nada (they had the sticker though). They didnt even know when restock will be...so bought it online to be shipped home, should be some time next week.

in the past, i went every year whenever BestBuy gets the phones in on display. alas, this year, i won't do it.

i've been avoiding indoor public spaces to the extent possible. then again, BestBuy might not even be that busy and may have very few people inside, so it ought to be relatively safe, except for the new UK strain :(

i'd love to see the new Phantom Black S21 Ultra, just to see what that new etched sanded glass looks like.
 
I prefer t-mobile one. I have used both and just seem to like better. Besides t-mobile has what 4 apps installed...just uninstall if don't like. Besides get an extra $100 off for t-mobile version.

Samsung removed this. I chatted with support and they have no clue. Like really?

Uggggg. That's ridiculous.

I ended up cancelling and reordering yesterday morning to use the $50 credit from the reserve. It showed as the correct amount from that order.

i see. after being on the TMobile JUMP program, last year, for my S20 Ultra, i went to buy it outright at Samsung for the first time in many years.

so, this time, my trade in phone (the S20 Ultra) is an unlocked Samsung.com purchased phone.

i didn't even realize that there was that extra $100 credit because my phone is an unlocked phone, so i don't have a TMobile/Verizon/ATT phone to trade in.

my total bill was higher than many who posted their final price here, for some reason. i still can't figure out why. including tax, my total was ~$770.

most people's total was around $650, i think.

fyi: mine was the 512gb S21 Ultra.
 
I want to go in my Best Buy now just to get a feel of the phone. Just ordered my case which was $28 on I-Blason website but it said buy on Amazon and it was $21.99 there but I wont get it till the 25 through the 27th it said. But if my phone happens to come early I got a silicone one from Samsung to use in the mean time.

You may not know this but this company I am ordering from sells this matching 2020 buds live case to store your buds is the Pro the same size? They both look square and I am wondering if I get if the Pros will fit?
