For those who use Nova Launcher Prime on their S21 ultra, do you notice there is a slight lag when a) closing an app and b) slight delay when clicking on another app to open right after closing one.

When I close an app, I notice the screen will flicker for a split second, and not until that flickering is done, can I then click on the next app to open.

Is this a nova launcher issue or samsung?

I just like Nova Launcher too much that I won't switch over to using Samsung One UI launcher.

Thank you,

No issues for me. I've recently seen some odd flickering when trying to scroll on Web pages in chrome but not as you describe.

When you say close an app, do you mean return to the home screen?

I haven't noticed a flicker... It seems to go straight to the home screen. Currently using enhanced processing, but didn't notice anything without it either.

Yes, when i return to the home screen. It's inconsistent though, but I notice it once and a while. But the delay on clicking on another app is consistent as if it didn't register my touch. If I can get a screen recording of it happening, I will send it.

I just turned on touch sensitivity one (even though I do not use a screen protector). I will see if that helps.

I just also turned on Enhanced processing as well

Just tried going home and opening a few apps, they worked fine.

I have a Whitestone screen protector, and have the touch sensitivity set to default, so I don't think it's that... I assume your app is up to date.

Long time Nova user here also using gestures. Haven't noticed any lag. I'm always tweaking Nova settings in the process. I'm using latest Nova 7.24 beta.

Execute a web search for "Nova APK mirror" to download if you don't want to deal with Discord. Seems very stable to me.

I've been using the 7 since it started and it is very stable. The latest version is 7.0.27, available in their Discord server.

Thanks for the version correction. I was looking at 7.0.27 yet still typod. Suppose my 53 years of geekness is catching up to me.

No problems with responsiveness, but then I don't use gestures. I'm stylus-dependant. My only problem (and it's probably due to user error) is that I've set up a 5x5 grid, but some icons seem to be bigger or more powerful than others. I mean to say that even when I've fiddled with the Bring to Front and Send to Back setting for each icon on the grid, sometimes I simply can't select a certain app/icon. It seems to me that this screen with a 5x5 grid should leave enough suppose between icons. (Using Nova Prime 6.2.19 with Flight and Whicons.)

Im not sure I could live without Nova.

The same issue. The only fix for now is slow a little bit... I mean wait half a second before clicking next icon. Any improvement with Nova 7? Thinking about installing beta, but I'm not sure if it's stable enough?

System gestures and third party launchers don't work perfectly after Android 10. The blame is on Google and their implementation of Quick Switch. Unfortunately there's nothing that launchers like Nova can do about it.

It depends on the OEM on how decent the transitions will be, specially the home gesture, but there will always be some jumps and redraws.

With Nova 7 I experienced a bit of an improvement, but mostly because the new version is faster and more fluid and because I use a OnePlus phone.

This is the explanation from the Nova guys.

I'm also using s21 ultra on nova7 latest beta. And the problem still persist. When I close an app and go to home screen and click on another app to open, their is a lag/delay.
