I like your case I am on the fence between Burgundy and Green going to look at them today and see if we want to upgrade from our 21 Ultras. But I hav e to use a popsocket.

Do you guys usually tweak camera settings or just take pictures with it right out of the box on the default settings?

Very good question? All I know is for the zoom pictures you pick or scroll to the zoom you want. But for those zoomed nighttime moon shots, I'd really like to know what settings are used beyond choosing night photo & using a tripod. I can't seem to get a decent zoom picture of the moon.

I took one the other night of the moon but when I do the 100 zoom I can't get it centered right and it moves around I am not good at it. But I will try again when the new one comes.

Here is a few S22 Plus photos. I have much liked this phone better over the Ultra

These images are Birmingham,England and couple are 3x zoom

Second update has made my cameras not want to focus and its chewing about. .5% battery per minute in the camera app now, don't even have to snap or record anything.

I think a lot of it has to do with fiddling around with the camera. Samsung has lots of different modes, and finding the best one for your particular situation takes time!

I only have the base 22 so mine can only do 30x zoom. But it is possible to get good moon photos utilizing just your hands and paying close attention to the aperture in the view finder. When it turns yellow, that when the short is optimal and when you should take the pic. Post processing usually does a good job of cleaning the raw image and providing good detail in the final product. I've been able to get some solid moonshots with my S22 at 30x zoom and just using my hands. It is best though to get away from artificial light as much as possible, as the moon's illumination will provide all the light you need, and artificial light could "pollute" your image.

As far as the further zoom with the ultra , I would imagine setting up the 50x, 100x or whatever zoo in between would be much the same, but use of a tripod would help, as the further you zoom the harder it is to hold steady. A tripod set up outside of artificial light should provide an optimal scenario to capture 50x-100x moon zoom photos. I would also set up a voice command to capture the image, that aay one doesn't have to even touch the phone and potentially distort the image from any rocking, motion effect, etc.
