S22 Ultra Owner, Excited for Fold 4

I use the Spen a lot more with it attached to the side of the phone case. I never used it when it was in a silo. Plus it's bigger and feels like a normal pen.

My issue with the S Pen not having a silo is fear of losing it or needing to use a bulky case.

I have a big S Pen with my Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and spent an entire day looking all over the house for it once. I wouldn't be happy if I needed to purchase a replacement S Pen due to loss when not at home.

That is a draw back with current Folds but I'm going have to get use to without my s22U soon

I have had a Spen pop out of the silo without me knowing also and had to replace it. I get what you're saying though. It does suck to have to replace them.

It was the note 8 that I lost the Spen. I ordered one from Amazon and they sent me 1 case of spens, so I had 12 of them. They told me to just keep them.

Bummer that you lost your S Pen for your Note 8, but you can't beat that deal of having a case of them due to an Amazon mistake.

I think it's $11 month. The fold is not as fragile at some make it out to be. If you're one that drops their phones all the time it will break just like any other phone.

I buy the insurance on the fold 3 and fold 4, had it on the fold 2 also because it is newer technology with screen bending. So far I don't think it's that big of an issue. I just like the piece of mind, I've been carrying insurance since the S20 series. Having samsung premium has a bonus besides just breakage, it also is who you deal with warranty issues. If you've ever dealt with Samsung direct, you will know that dealing with the insurance company is a huge benefit. Samsung customer care sucks
So Samsung Premium is different than Samsung Care?

I think it's the same. I might just call it different. It's thru asurion.

I just looked, it's Samsung care. Who knows where I got Samsung premium.

I did a search. They changed the name, that's where I got Samsung premium. Lol

Gotcha! Thanks. I'll probably get it, be on the side of caution.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger because of the sweet deal I was able to get (512 fold, watch 5 pro, buds pro 2 for $600), but already wondering if I made a mistake. I always feel like Floss keeps it real more than any other review it there. Check out what he says at 4:40 in his review. I know it's only one man's opinion, but I'm sure he's not alone. And it makes me wonder how authentic other big name reviewers are when they make their reviews.

I watched it too....this is my first fold and I'm coming from an s22U. Look at it this way, if you don't like it you get a killer trade in to go back to the 23U. That's what I'm going to do. But so far, I'm loving this phone. Not missing my s22u as of yet....lol

It is pretty crazy to me how people buy phones for the sake of buying something new. Smartphones are tools.

Some people buy them for the camera, some for gaming, some for business documents and emails, etc.

You have to match the tool to the tasks at hand!

I have the S21 Ultra…I almost never use the cameras. The fold form factor is more important to me than the phones…so Flossy is talking spec for spec…not for how you or I need the features.

I never game on the phone… I review contracts, view videos, plan trips, etc., so my expectation is that this phone will serve me better.

That's the main thing I'm reminding myself of to convince myself to stick with the Fold order. Worst care scenario I'll have an updated 23 Ultra in 6 months on what should be the cheap with a Fold 4 trade-in lol

HAHAHAHA!! Its all good man. I cancelled my order twice, before finally placing it and did so, because of the same reservations as you.

I know its only day 2 with the fold, but Im really enjoying the extra real estate (display) and features. Camera is great too and the only thing that I think ill miss on the S22U is the "stalker" 100 times zoom. Watch is pretty bad a** too, so as of right now, I have no regrets.

The only other thing I did, because of the whole folding thing was that I ordered Samsung Care for $11 a month. Piece of mind I guess. Ive never ordered insurance before.

Lol you sound like me....I cancelled my fold order twice before I said screw it and I'm glad I did. I love the S22U but I always wanted to try a fold. I'm actually kinda digging the slimmer front and then being able to open it up for all my browsing needs and stuff.

Right on!!!! The only thing that is driving me nuts, is that I love switching cases and most of the cases need adhesive. I already switched to the UAG and now back to the Samsung Cover case ..lol...UAG was too DAMN Big of a case!!!!

Another issue with these cases with adhesive on them. If you need to change SIM card or change phones, the SIM card is not accessible unless you take the case off.

Are you finding that the adhesive strip on the skinny piece on the front screen by hinge does not stick well, I have 2 cases and neither are holding. One is Samsung case that came free and the other is the Spigen case. I know that's going to drive me crazy.

Bingo! Yeah it's driving me nuts already. And yes, the front comes off easily. My UAG came with extra strips, so I used them with the samsung case instead. So far, so good

I'm just going to use the spen case. I ordered that Spigen screen protector for the front. I'd love to use a slim case but I want to be able to have the spen with me

Wow, was not expecting that. Got the fold 2 days ago. Been using it since then. Not sure how I feel about it yet!
I was nervous as well when switching from N20U. Now, that I have used F3 about a year, i don't think I'll ever go back to tradition phone. You'll love F4.

For another perspective...I have been wanting to get a FOLD but so far is a big disappointment to me.
First, it is small enough and the aspect ratio also creates this issue where movies actually look bigger on the S22 Ultra.
On top of that, you have to deal with the horrible crease which is made worse by the super reflective plastic screen.
Then of course, you got less powerful camera setup and no place for the SPen.
Too many fails in my book so I am still waiting for the Folds to get "there".
