S22 Ultra Owner, Excited for Fold 4

For me I think it's probably more of a use case situation. I find myself used to the convenience of immediate use after unlocking, not requiring 2 hands. When I'm on the go, at work, or just not feeling like having to use 2 hands, I'm primarily using the front, smaller screen. I know the obvious option is right there, to unfold and have a mini tablet display in all it's glory, but I'm finding myself using the front smaller screen far more often, like 80%. And in comparison to the S22 Ultra it's not as enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty awesome when I AM using the full inner display. I'm simply not using it very often unless I'm sitting at home or out at a bar, etc. And less unfolded time = less pen time, even with a case that holds it, in comparison to the pen removal/insertion with the 22. Until I can find a way to lean more on the "unfolded" experience I'm still favoring the S22 Ultra.
Everyone is different. I can't use the, s22U one handed and I can use the fold grunt screen one handed. I'm finding the fold 4 grunt screen to be more enjoyable then the fold 2 and 3. I for sure don't want much wider front screens.

Okay, umm.. I'm confused or maybe I'm not reading this correctly. With the S22U you are comfortably able to use it with one hand whereas with the Fold 4 you feel required to use two hands.

I understand that day-to-day you are using the smaller screen 80% of the time. But what happens on a vacation or during some unexpected delay, those would be the occasion where you can use the inner display.

Finally My Fold 4 512gb beige color is in my hands....haven't even opened the box yet ..
Super excited

For another perspective...I have been wanting to get a FOLD but so far is a big disappointment to me.
First, it is small enough and the aspect ratio also creates this issue where movies actually look bigger on the S22 Ultra.
On top of that, you have to deal with the horrible crease which is made worse by the super reflective plastic screen.
Then of course, you got less powerful camera setup and no place for the SPen.
Too many fails in my book so I am still waiting for the Folds to get "there".

Yea but who watches movies on a phone LOL.

I barely ever notice the crease when using it.

I'm not sure what you mean by a super reflective plastic screen. The screen on the Fold 4 is beautiful.

The camera on the Fold 4 holds its own with the S22 Ultra, there are even videos showing how the Fold 4's camera flat out beats the S22 Ultra's camera in some test.

I love that I use my apps on a big beautiful screen, something that you cannot get on a S22 Ultra.

I will never go back to using a candy bar phone again.

But hey to each its own. I respect your decision, at least you gave it a try. Foldable phones are not for everyone.

I'm a phone junkie
I try almost every variation of Samsung or Pixel phone. I always wind up selling the phone after falling out of infatuation.

Fold 4 has convinced me that this is the best type of phone. Battery life is way better than S22 plus. And I can use the small screen for general use and unfold for best media consumption.

Received mine today smaller the my Fold 3 and outer screen more usable then fold 3 , battery life I'll see in a week .

After the fold for learned my battery habits the battery life didn't increase that much but a week later I can easily get between 7 to 9 hours of screen on time with this phone.

That pretty good , I'm thinking I probably end up same way .
