Anyone upgrading to the S23 devices? I believe I will stay or go for the S23 plus prefer flat screens over the curved.

I'm not due for an upgrade yet but I just ordered an S23u for my wife. She's still using a standard Note 20. She's getting $1000 trade-in bill credit for AT&T plus got $140 in accessories from Samsung.com. Supposed to be delivered tomorrow.

Sounds like a great deal I am on the fence looking at the s23 plus I like the flat screen better then the one I have on the ultra I have but still on the fence.

My Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra is still working flawlessly so I'm not yet ready to pull the trigger on the Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra.

The draw of a better spec camera and Qualcomm Snapdragon soc isn't enough for me to box this phone away and drop another tonne of cash on another phone.

That said.... never say never ;)

I said elsewhere wait a few months after launch and Samsung will be offering $1000 for your S22U but I went ahead and upgraded through AT&T this time cause they are giving you $1000 for trading in a 5+ year old iPhone 8.And 512gb to boot!

So give them an iPhone 8 I have sitting in an office for $1000 trade for an S23U and I get to keep my S22U too… no brainer. For me.

I did the same with a note 9 on Verizon. I do not think we will see the $1,000 trade in on the S23. I think the inflation and economy will prevent that.

Only way I would upgrade is if there was a $1000 trade with T-Mobile and not on the magenta max plan. This is how T-Mobile is getting people $1000 trade but a monthly upgrade is like $50 a month for the magenta max plan.

I think it's the economy and sales causing the low trade in values times are changing.

Just left TMobile and got my $1000 trade in and picked up the s23 plus coming from the ultra. I prefer the flat screen with fingerprint scanner and screen protectors. My fingerprint sensor is almost instant with my screen protector and the size is not much smaller other wise it's the same device.

Wanted to upgrade but need to change from 55+ plan didn't make sense. of course I would have added Apple TV with it. so $20 more a month, plus the $200 difference after trade, plus need a new case and screen protector. So I'm going to hang onto my S22 Ultra. if Samsung offers the $1K with memory upgrade, I may go for it in the future. The pre reserve was tempting but I kept to my guns and resisted.

I would buy an ultra if screen were flat. I understand it isn't and the plus is a step down from my 22u so no update for me.

with the screen issue on the 23, I am going to be happy skipping this upgrade. Honestly, the 22 ultra i have can probably serve me for a couple more years.

My 22U still feels like a new phone so I'm skipping the S23U. I'm sure though the 24U will entice me into an upgrade. I'm not interested in the regular or the plus since I've gotta have that S pen.

The S22U is still one hekuva phone. Heck, its still a monster. Sheesh, I had 3 of them (at one time) for a bit before moving on to iPhones as my daily drivers.

I just got my S23U and it is awesome, I won't deny that but its really only a slightly more polished S22U and it can be skipped if you're happy with what ya got. I only got one because I now have 3 iPhones (14PM, 13PM, a d 12 mini (running, gym, and karate duty) and 2 iPads and I was missing having a good Android (and the $800 in bill credits was an incentive).

Still enjoying my S22 (I like small unlocked phones with flat screen). The small amount that Samsung would offer me for a trade in on my S22 for an S23 is a slap in the face anyway. I could just buy a new Pixel and just hang on to my S22. Will stay where I am for now.
