s3 jelly bean question

Hey, guys. Im new here and have a question.. does anyone know when us s3 users on verizon will get the jelly bean update? Also how do you like your s3 so far??

I thought my S3 was as close yo perfect as one could get but with JB is got even better.

Battery may be draining a tad bit more but I have been playing with this non stop since updated.

VZW hasn't let anyone know when the JB update will be coming out but they are always the last to release any major update, usually by several months. I would look for a nice Easter present. Any earlier will be a pleasant surprise.
If you want to root and unlock there are a few jb roms out there for the vzw s3. I've been running one called jellywiz for a while now and it's been great. Take a look at the forums here and you'll find a lot of helpful information on rooting, unlocking, flashing, and specific roms.

Really appreciate the input! I may look into rooting, but i have insurance i dont feel like voiding if i drop it.. thanks again for the info on jb.. i just feel like it shouldnt take this long.. unless there is a major difference between the international version and the US version of the s3.. other than quad core of course.. psyjohn, assuming you have an s3.. do you regret your choice now that the iphone 5 is out? I myself chose personability over simplicity and am happy.. thanks again!

It won't be easter, I would be surprised if we had to wait for the new year. Rooting won't do anything to the insurance neither will romming. It is all of ten minutes to get it back to stock and they won't know. Jellybean is great, you won't be sorry

You are probably asking the wrong person. I really don't like the apple os at all. I have an ipad that my daughter plays with a lot but I like to configure my devices for me and apple doesn't allow me to do that. Also, itunes is an absolute deal breaker for me. With a user interface like itunes I am constantly amazed that apple products ever caught on at all. Last week I was at a party with some friends and one of them had the new iphone 5. When he played around with my S3 for a few minutes he was regretting his choice, and he's been iphone user since they first came out.

To get jb, you can root, unlock, and re-rom to Cyanogen 10M2. Use EZ Unlock to unlock the bootloader if you are using a Verizon S3. You can reverse everything back to 100 % stock.

I'd say flash a good JB rom. Sprint recently gave us JB and I am really liking it. It runs really smooth and apps launch faster.. Plus the Google search is fun to mess with .
