S3 motherboard transplant question

Can I pull the motherboard out of a I747 that has a bad digitizer & glass and transplant it into an L710 that has a bad board in it but the rest of the S3 is in great shape?

I assume the motherboards are the only difference between the phones ?

Technically, you probably can. However, there is a lot of work involved with that and you could risk damaging it. It might be worth a shot if you can't purchase a replacement device.
