S3 - White screen with black lines. Can data be extracted?

My Samsung S3 has been struggling for some time now and today it seems to have given up. Wasn't dropped. Switch on simply gives white screen with black lines. Nothing can be done. Samsung Keis seems to recognise the device but can't actually connect to it.
I guess it's the EMMC. Can data be salvaged?

I have same problem. No it can't go to recovery mode, just in download mode/ odin mode
