S4 email will not send replies or forward email, how do I fix it?

[Android Central Question]

My Galaxy S4 email app displays the pop up screen with a rotating line and the words "Loading messages" and then gets stuck. I have deleted and reconfigured the email account but it still won't correct. I'm using an IMAP server set up.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you certain your Outgoing Server settings are correct, and that you've entered the password for that server?
