S4 mini Clock is slow and alarm does not go off, any solutions?

s4 mini Clock is slow and alarm does nto go off

Had my s4 mini for almost 2 years. IN the past couple of days, the clock on the home screen has been slow and my alarm has not gone off in time as it thinks it is 20 minutes earlier than it actually is. This is the only time I have noticed this happening.Once I am up and use the phone a bit it seems to fix itself. Any solutions?

I would try to clear cache and app data on the clock and alarm clock app
