S4 Mini has died, not sure why?

I was downloading pod-cast's, device storage was running out. i was going to relieve some more memory when the phone crashed and switched itself off.

I've tried a no. of different welcomed techniques like simultaneous reboots using all device buttons, removing battery trying another, removing sim and SM cards, connecting to computer and trying all these options again, to no avail?

Has anyone had any similar issues and if so, do you have any suggestions, it has relatively worked fine, no problems these last two years.
