S4 mini not running smoothly after ROOT?

Hello guys.
I bought my S4 mini just few days ago and decided to root it today, because its not able to store game files on SDHC when unrooted. Not knowing much about rooting, I?ve managed to do it via motochopper method.
But, here is the thing.
I?ve read some articles about it and everyone said rooting won?t affect perfomance. And maybe it doesn?t and I?m just being paranoid, but right after restart I?ve noticed that when scrolling through menu really fast, or when watching photos, it ain?t running 100% smoothly. In photo gallery mostly. Next photo always loads a bit laggy. But, I don?t know if it was like this even before rooting or not. So, please, could you give me your experiences/opinions with rooting and browsing performance or tell me how are photos loaded in an unrooted s4 mini?

and sms also take a bit delay before loaded.. i must keep thinking about it so pls help

Just being rooted won't affect performance. If you have any apps that are running, and making use of that root permission, THEY could be causing issues.
