Maybe mobile devices, much like computers, are just starting to level out.
Moore's Law has not really applied since 2009 or so. Are dual core handsets like the SGS III really SO terrible that people just have to move to the IV?
That is just one example. I just bought this phone a month ago. I am guessing the 1.5Ghz quad core processor and 320 ppi display will probably still seem pretty nice by the time my contact is up [read: I won't feel overly compelled to upgrade].
Perhaps the lower than expected sales are just a reflection of this sort of thing. I mean if you already have an LTE radio and the innards to support JB and KLP?
