S4 Verizon all of my contacts don't show up in sms list

Can't seem to find the answer, but after the last upgrade, my contact list does not match the contact list in SMS.

any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Same issue here... Typing Contact names in SMS recipient list in the native SMS app + 3rd party (Google Hangout) I'm only getting email addresses in results list... almost seems like it's only searching email addresses. The only way you can select recipients is by typing their number (auto-completes when typing number) or click the contact icon, searching for contact, selecting number, it then adds, but this is all a little ***-backwards...
