S5 Active email arrow for sent or replied missing? or?? help

the standard e mail app on my att phone does not show that you replied or forwarded an email it just greys out that you read the message. on older S4 phones this was indicated by a green arrow. am i missing something?? Help please

Welcome to Android Central! Is your email account on a POP3 or IMAP server? I'm not sure, but maybe if it's POP3 (which is an older protocol), it doesn't allow for that kind of detail.

the mail is IMAP, i checked with Samsung they basically said that this feature is not available on the S5 Active, i find that hard to believe, as i stated another older samsung phone clearly has the same looking e mail icon, and shows a green arrow when you reply or forward a e mail that is in your inbox. shurly there is a work around or another e mail application that would be able to do this.. There is no arrow or any indication that you did anything to the e mail in the inbox screen, it simply is greyed out it was read.

I can't really address the issue of the Samsung app itself. You could consider a 3rd party email app like K-9. Or could you import your email into your Gmail account?
