S5 and WiFi problems

Just got a moto 360 and it updated to 5.1.1 just fine. Everything works as it should except for WiFi. I followed all the steps (turning on cloud synch etc). But when I'm away from the phone get messages but can't reply or use any ok Google features. I have read this is an issue, is there a fix?
