So, ive recently switched to the dark side...from apple to galaxy. Got the s6 edge but have been having issues with random messages being sent.

Everytime i power off or my phone dies and comes back on a message ive previously sent to someone sends again but acting as a new message.

For example, i sent my friend something 4 days ago and tonight my phone died and i powered it back on and that same exact message sent again the minute my phone powered on. Also noticed when this happens i get a notification "send message failure"...

Anyone know what is causing this?
Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! I think it's actually pretty bright on this side.;)

First, do not make it a habit to allow the phone's battery run out. Deep battery discharges (i.e., letting it drain to single digits or enough that it shuts off on its own) can shorten the overall battery lifespan. It's ok to do it from time to time, but in general, try to start charging up when the phone reaches 30-40%.

Second, it's possible that the message that's being sent when you charge the phone and power it back on wasn't successfully sent prior to when the phone died. I wonder if the phone was turning on ultra power saving mode automatically when the battery dropped really low, and that mode was starting to interfere with the messaging app: How to extend the battery life on your Samsung Galaxy S6 | Android Central. Try using the phone and not letting the battery run out for a few days. See if this odd message issue persists.
