Hi all.

Great forum.

I have a s7 edge that I love....

Over the last week or so I have been having a most annoying issue.

When I'm using WhatsApp or Facebook messenger, once I've finished typing and sent message etc. I press the back key to exit and it's so laggy takes several presses to work.

The key is fine with everything else. No other issues of note.

Any thoughts? Tips etc??

Although the latest software update is horrendous...

Many thanks

Bazza.

Well, keep in mind that when you are in an app, the back button is sending a call to the app to switch screens, that isn't controlled by Android. That's why it doesn't function the same across all apps.

Facebook, IMHO, is one of the most bloated, poorly optimized apps around, so that it chugs wouldn't shock me (I don't use WhatsApp).

Hey.

Thank you for reply.

I've always had both apps on all my phone's.

This issue has only been recently though.

I'm having the same problem on a standard S7. Internet pages are fine. Just any messaging app at all seems to suffer. Started out of nowhere. Restarted phone etc. Problem still there

Mine too. Noticed this yesterday. Anyone having a solution? Thx!

Oh well I'm having the exact same problem since yesterday. I only use WhatsApp and LINE and it occurs on both of them. Came out of nowhere. Tried multiple restarts, even let the phone off over night but that didn't do anything... so frustrating. Considering a master reset... anything new guys?
