I have it installed on my S7E. I tried to disable bloat on my phone but had no idea what most of the things were and if I should disable them (or if it would cripple my phone if I did). I read a thread on here saying it was a good app and would help, so I bought the app. Not sure if improves my battery life but I'm sure it can't hurt.

I think if you avoided those that aren't listed in the App Drawer, anything you disable should be fine.

Yes sometimes but not for long. My battery had been draining regularly. This was yesterday's

I really don't think it's as bad as you think. As the phone sits, it's going to drain some. If you are seeing about a half a percentage point per hour, that's really good. Also, as the device sits, something is going to account for battery use. That is where the OS will be closer to the top. Once you start playing a game, all those stats will change.

Big battery drain

This much quick battery lost has not happened before. What is the problem and why is systemui draining battery It hasn't happened in the past.

Could this be related to the Oculus battery drain issue? Have you installed the most recent Oculus update that was supposed to fix it? Or you could also try disabling Oculus temporarily.

Thanks I received the new Oculus update this morning and have updated it but this has happened from nowhere.

Have you done the usual troubleshooting steps like wiping the cache partition or booting into Safe Mode?

I cleared the cache partition last night as I wasn't getting as good battery life before this.

If the cache clear didn't do anything, see how things go in Safe Mode for a few hours.

Has anyone returned the phone to Samsung due to battery problems?

Hi I just wanted to know if anyone has returned the phone to Samsung due to battery life and high android system. I rang Samsung and they said next step is to get it inspected. As I have done the factory reset and has been no change.

Mines been fantastic. Battery life is great, no overheating issues, nothing.

Hopefully you can get a replacement.

Search in this forum for Oculus/Gear VR issues. There's a thread dedicated to significant battery drain issues.. That *may* be your problem, and it's a lot easier to fix than having to send in your phone, FDR, or waiting on a replacment.

Once I factory reset the phone I have not reinstalled oculus app and the battery is still draining the same

I also had to disable the Gear service along with the app itself.

Check your apps. One maybe on the internet constantly. I know for a while Facebook caused bad battery drain on a lot of devices.

Yesterday I deleted the Facebook app but no improvements
