6 hours SOT on the dot on my first full charge. T-mobile on LTE, GPS and NFC on all day long. 1 hour of video playback, 1 hour of emails, and hours of Web browsing, texting, and updating some apps.

I'm mostly wifi, have everything not necessary disabled, min screen brightness I can stand and don't use BT or stream video at all. I get about 5-6 hrs SOT and 14hrs on. Not as good as my iPhone 6+. but decent. I use ESPN app and Chrome the most. I have to charge twice a day where iphone was once.

So my battery was amazing for the first few days. So good that it was hard to believe it was true. However, it's starting to suck now. Barely lasting a day. Galaxy S7 edge by Verizon.

First day (I know I know) so far about the same as the droid turbo for me, which isn't bad but not all that great either.

Have you tried disabling advanced features and disabling Google location services ?

Ouch. That's a bummer. Hope you have insurance.

For gods sake , what happened fella I bet your pissed off...

Ouch! Are you insured?

I have a tricky policy so going through the claim process, problem is they want to repair the phone and I am sure this is not effectively repairable, so lets see. But really fragile, my S6 Edge and Note 5 took similar falls (lap height) on to the floor face down - this just cracked :(

Another factor I haven't seen mentioned is the content on the display. Amoled displays are great for battery efficiency with mostly dark displays. But as you get allot of white and bright colors the display has to use more energy to display those colors. With AMOLED displays using dark themes can help get more battery life.

This is also why AOD uses so little power.

I also don't think 10 plus hours of SOT is completely unreasonable. Using some math I was able to identify my SOT uses about 2.66 mAh per min. Not thinking about anything else that would mean almost 23 hours so if you figure the display uses half of the battery over 10 hours could be possible.

Everything I have read points to underlying processes pulling extra battery. Several have pointed to Android system, location services, Knox, and a few other services.

I agree Mavrick,

However, there are way to many variables to be exact but most can get a general idea using peoples numbers in this thread if you eliminate some outliers. I have the GOOD app for my corporate email and that thing is a battery hog. Also have bad signal in my office because my tower is close but it is on the other side of the building. The price I pay for this view...LOL
