S7 edge Battery life

I wonder if some of the variability we're seeing in battery life is in manufacturing variables or QC in production. Too bad it's not easy to pop in a different one and see. Users shouldn't have to turn off all the features that made their device desirable in the first place.

I've gotten really used to the 7000 mah zerolemon on my S3. I hope when my S7E comes in it is on the high side.

I have a new S7. It's now 330 and took it off charger at 1045. 3 calls, 5 minutes on Facebook and now browsing. 21% down.

Is it the android OS or Samsung or Verizon ?
I came from ATT where iPhone and blackberry lasted for days.

I just came out of a Note 4 and had to buy a second battery to get past noon.

What's the secret to living in this brave new android world ???

I tried power save mode for 2 days and it adds less than an hour to SoT. Weird how the iphone battery is 24% smaller but lasts longer by 2 hours

It actually it isn't a surprise when you consider how little it actually does in the background. I think very few people realize how much stuff these phones are doing when all the extra features are turned on. So to get a full day with all that stuff running is actually quite amazing.

Not sure what to say other than you need to disable some of the junk like smart features, HD voice, Google location history (especially this one), WiFi scanning and nearby device scanning.

With those tweaks and using a dark them I get insane battery 7 hour plus SoT easy.

This is so far today, lots of feeding on tapa, facebook, some YouTube etc, lot of WiFi since I am at home and my reception on cellular is not so great.

Best battery life of any phone I've ever owned. Only 3rd day with the phone, spending a lot of time installing apps, configuring playing around. No heavy gaming and on WiFi most of the day, though. But I've never gotten 5 hours of SOT on any phone before, so getting that with nearly 50% battery left is fantastic to me.

I haven't disabled very much, either. I use this as a smartphone, not interested in turning everything off to get better battery life.

Below is with the following.

Auto Brightness
LTE / Wifi mixage (more WiFi due to being at home)
Everything running except 2-3 T-Mobile apps disabled
Hotspot for at least 5+ hours (not heavy usage on it) since friends have Sprint and couldn't get signal elsewhere.
No charges during the time
A few "weak" signal areas

To be honest .. I won't complain about this life. The battery runs REALLY well and with QC 2.0 I have no complaints.

Wow you used the phone for 12 hours and still have 47% that's great! This is a great phone!

Today's stats... 820 radio set to lte/cdma, power saving mode auto-turned on at 20%, game launcher set to save power. Not bad but still wish we had the other cpu... why did they give us the 820 anyways? The exynos is fast enough.
