Thanks for your reply yes I did update the phone. The battery life was quite good it has changed since I factory reset the phone

It may seem like I am going to get 5 but I be lucky to even get 4hrs

I think people's confusion is in not realizing that you've been comparing your own battery currently to your own previously.. For a lot of folks, your current averages are decent battery life.

There are so many variables that it's hard to compare person A to person B to person C in battery life, but if your own averages drop with no changes in usage or locations, that's about the most insightful comparison we can get.

Not that I'm complaining about my S7 but battery life on the edge is the other reason why I upgraded.

Fully charged Sunday night around 11 and still have 40%.

I don't think so. Do you have AOD on? I lose just about 5% overnight.

I've noticed a massive improvement over the last few days. Last night for example, I went to bed with the phone at 100% and got up this morning 10 hours later and the battery is on 98%. Wifi and location are still on but I switched off LTE4 and selected '3G/2G Auto Select' as we don't get LTE4 here yet. I'm not sure if that's what made the difference or whether a new S7 just uses more battery in the first couple of weeks as it works out your usage patterns etc.

Anyway I'm delighted with that kind of battery usage.

Oh that explains it. Your phone was keeping on searching and searching for a 4G signal that's why it was draining power.

Wow I've never seen Freeplay run in the background like this. Does anyone know how to stop apps from running in the background?

I've noticed something. For some reason when I charge through a cable, my phone drains so much quicker than when I charge through wireless. I can't figure out why that is though

This is typical of the phone of late. Awful. So disappointing when I could get between 6 and 9 hours screen on time without issue and I'm really regretting buying it now. The phone I replaced was better than this.

Really ? But that's not even the higher I heard of, some people talk about 10 hours of screen on time xD
But to be fair, it was with only WiFi, no Bluetooth, no sync, no location + I disabled some things like always scanning for Wifi and always scanning for Bluetooth and I have 40 applications on saving mode. But AoD was on and I didn't use any power saving mode :)
