S7 Edge does not recognize backup pin...

I setup a fingerprint and set a backup pin when I got my phone. All went well. The next day I turned off my lock screen and set it to none, Today I went back to set another fingerprint and could not recognize it to get in, so I had to enter my backup pin and the dumb phone would not take it. Any Idea how to fix this?

Is the lockscreen still set to none? If so, try using Android Device Manager to remotely set a lockscreen password, and then unlock the phone that way. Then see if you can set up the fingerprint lock again.

I think I got it. I did mistype my phone number, as I noticed that it went to call that number. I will try to set a fingerprint tomorow as it's late and I'm tired. I want to be totally awake when I get to it.
