S7 edge how to check if your /system is protected?

I recently Rooted my phone and wanted to change my lock screen sounds. But I can't change my /system to R/W. Root Explorer no longer has the R/W button and SuperSU latest versions are system-less. I've tried terminal emulation and hours of googling to no avail. I had a reply saying that my /system could be protected. So how do I check if my /system is protected? If so how to i remove the protection.

If you have root access, run an app like Root Browser to change system files. (Don't change the name of the /system folder or you'll never run the phone again, until you reflash the ROM (and lose everything that you've out on the phone).

Actually i dont know about this..search on google you get the exact answer.

The issue is that I want to change the lock screen sounds but root browser keeps saying error and that my /system is still on Read-only and not R/W
