S7 edge sim tray

Hi all, I'm new to samsung phones I've always had iphones just unsure about the sim tray on my s7 edge, I noticed when pushing it into the phone it didn't really click or lock into place it was just a case of jeep pushing until it's in, I felt some resistance which I think was the rubber seal sealing into the sim slot is this normal as with iphones I found that the sim tray clicked into place? Another thing is that the tray isnt completely flush with the frame of the phone it sits about 0.5 mm below the frame of the phone has anyone else got this am I being picky ?

Mine didn't click when pushing it in but it does sit flush with the frame. It definitely doesn't click in like the iPhone or even previous Samsung phones have. I assume it has to do with the waterproof seal.

Would that warrant an exchange or would they just look at me like I've lost it?

To me it would only matter if I thought the seal was compromised. If you are within your 14 days then go for it.
