S7 Edge Users - Why do you use another launcher?

I think with the latest update the option is present directly in display settings.

And I use Arrow Launcher, it's fluid, simple and has useful stuff like call history, reminders etc on home page..

My gripe about some of the other launchers is.. The icons are too big..
I'm not a fan of Swiping through pages for apps too..
Only downside I see with arrow is, it doesn't support live wallpaper..

It may be available via the non-carrier variants (I see "4G" on yours so I assume you're outside the US or using an International Model) but on carrier variants you have to use the Nova trick -- see below :).

and one more thing, with the condensed scaling, whether its done via Nova or Display settings, Android Pay breaks since the Safety Net check fails. There is another thread on this, I thought it was because of the Nova method but Android Pay breaks even when done via Display Settings.

I just use Samsung Pay and have no issues -- no need to worry about AP.

Ahh okay.. I get it.. And yeah I'm using an international Variant.. so can't use Samsung Pay.. Not that I'm using AP anyway.. hehe...

I have been in the past a Stock Android user. Came from Nexus 6 to S7 Edge. and I have not up til now been tempted to switch it to the Google Now Launcher. I like some of the shortcuts with TouchWiz and still can get to Google now with a key press. time will tell....

Nova (Prime) for sure...the endless customization is the best!

The reason I use a custom launcher on all my phone is for the extra customization potential.

Nothing is wrong with the stock TouchWiz launcher. I just want more customization. ;)

I use Nova prime for icon options and gestures...ability to hide apps.
I will switch to tw once in a while.

My opinion is if one uses the Google now launcher why not just do Nova. You can set it up exactly like the gnl but have badges and additional customization if you choose....

For me I like having the full Google Now screen to the left of the home screen. Yes you can add the Google Now widget to the left but it's not the same as on the Google Now launcher.

I use Nova because I want the app drawer in the middle and I like having more icons on the grid and in the dock.

I like TouchWiz on the S7 edge, but I couldn't stand the huge icons within folders and so went back to Nova.

I love TouchWiz but keep going back and forth with Nova due to it having the swipe down feature with the larger screen of the s7 edge.

I was using TW since purchase but have never liked the size of the dock. Used Nova previously so to have more icons on main screen. Tried Nova yesterday for first time on S7E and was surprised to see the dock the size I expect. Back to Nova for good!

I use Nova so it can change the grid size (tw has the option but limited. Also you can backup the home screen layouts

i sticked with touchwizz since i bought the note 4 and later the 5, but now on my new edge 7 i decided to try a different launcher(Nova) for the first time ever and i can't believe how good it is! so manny configuration options it made me like my S7 edge even more!

I don't like how big the icons are. Even with the Nova trick condensed, it's still way to big.

I'm using Action Launcher 3 and love it.

I'm a moron and just discovered you can change the grid size in TW and thus the icons are smaller. I rotate between TW, GN, and Nova. GN has large icons though.

I'm using the Nova launcher and I've used the 'action' widget to switch to a condensed display. I prefer stock Android and this launcher is one of the first apps I install on a new phone.

Not sure what you mean by this. Nova doesn't work any differently than TW in this respect, other than giving you more options on how you want to arrange and access apps. But, unless I'm really misunderstanding you, Nova can do anything TW can do as far as arranging apps.

Right I meant to say I did not liking swiping through pages in TW to get to an app. Its a little easier in arrow. Although the icons are bigger.

I played around with Nova has tons of options but felt will stick with Arrow, somehow I like it a lot :D
