Android Central Question

Title ^
It's just stuck on Downloading... forever, never even starts.

Anyone knows how to fix this? I tried clearing data cache, rebooting, clearing cache of Download manager and Downloads, unisntalling google app updates, updating play services, nothing helps, someone please.

Welcome to Android Central!

Are you connected to WiFi when this happens?

You're welcome!

Try stopping the updates by tapping on the little progress circle within each app in the Play Store. Then try updating each app one by one to see if that makes a difference. I've (rarely) had a problem where a specific app's update goes wonky, and the steps I've suggested above usually solve the problem.

Download Manager doesn't control app updates, so I'd try clearing cache of the Google Play Store app instead.

I tried everything, I tried clearing cache of both google play store google services, everyting, I also tried wiping cache partition, removing all my google accounts, updating 1 app manually, nothing works

what I noticed also since yesterday is that all of the wifi networks are shown with exclamation mark next to them (only on this phone) and it says internet may not be available but it works perfectly fine with browser and instagram, so that's weird too

Have you tried "forgetting" and re-establishing your WiFi connections? (Settings->Connections->Wi-Fi, tap on the Wi-Fi connection, then tap "Forget")

I'm kinda stumped on this one. It could be that there's just a problem with the Play Store, or that you may have to resort to the "nuclear option" and wipe to factory defaults (and if so, hopefully you've been backing up to your Google and/or Samsung account).

I'm just afraid factory reset isn't gonna fix it and then what do I do, with no apps in the phone (since the play store isn't working)
As I said it's the same on 4G, and yeah I did try forgetting and reseting network settings, nothing works.

I tried safe mode as well, no help.

Factory reset fixed it.

Sorry to hear that... I only recommend factory-reset as a last resort, because I hate going through the setup process on Android. Regardless, I'm glad you found a solution and I'm sorry I wasn't able to find a way to help.you avoid the "nuclear option!"
