S9+ Bluetooth headset not connecting properly for Media

I recently switched from an S7 to S9+ and am having trouble connecting to my Senso Bluetooth Activebuds 250 headphones for media. It is paired fine and connects immediately for calls, but doesn't connect for Media by default. Each time I turn on my headphones I have to go into Connected Device Settings and turn on Media audio.

Any ideas? I saw many Bluetooth issues mentioned before but haven't seen this specific issue mentioned.
