S9 selfie mode completely black.

I just went from an S6 to the S9. When I use the selfie mode, the screen is completely black. It will take a picture of the black. I can't get it to take a selfie. I checked my camera settings and they all seem fine. Maybe I'm missing something? Thanks!

Do you have anything covering the front camera? When you look at the phone it is to the right of the top speaker grill.

Thanks for your reply. I don't have anything blocking the camera and yes, it is to the right of the speaker

Sounds like it may be a hardware problem.
