Sadly another leaves the G4

But if you don't like the G4's battery life...
Believe it or not, the Edge + is lasting a tad bit longer than the G4 during my everyday use. I switched 2 weeks ago and I can tell a marginal difference in battery life. The quick charger helps. It does bring my battery back to above 50% within about 20 minutes. LG should have included a quick charger. To be honest though, no Android phone even comes close to the amazing battery life of the iPhone 6+. I'd go two days on a single charge on that phone.
I also don't have any real significant issues with my Verizon variant. To some degree, there's just a Pavlovian response to "Verizon" for a lot of folks. By no means do I think they can do no wrong, but Im more in the "you get what you pay for" camp with the network and reliability.

There have been issues with other carrier's variants. Didn't TMO have one specific to it?
Like I said, I had the International Version of the G4, so I know how it should act and respond. My brother-in-law has it now and it works great. It just doesn't work on Verizon. Also, this is my 3rd LG phone from Verizon. All 3 had issues prior to receiving updates. The G2 took 3 updates to work out the kinks. The G3 took 3 updates to work out the kinks. I didn't feel like sitting around waiting on the G4.

Just a final update:

I have sold the VZW G4 on Swappa and fully committed to the S6 Edge +. I can't believe it myself as I hate Sammy products, but there's no denying the Edge + is a wonderful phone. Also, there is no lag on my Verizon version of the Edge +. I tried 2 different Verizon version of the G4 and experienced bad lag on both. This is the only version I've tried of the Edge + and there's no lag out of the box. I didn't have to do anything with the Developer Settings. In fact I haven't even un-hid the developer options. Battery life is on par if not a little better, but let's be honest, both phones have the same battery, so they should be about par with each other. I know that the battery life will get better for both phones with future updates, so please don't misunderstand me. I didn't switch because of battery life. I switched because of lag. I've been fighting Android Lag for 2 years now. It's why I can't keep to one phone because eventually it becomes laggy, if it doesn't start out laggy. I'm hopeful that the Edge+ won't become laggy, but I have no idea. I just know it's not laggy right now and that makes me happy right now.

Once again, there's nothing wrong with the G4. It's an awesome phone. I just was not happy with the Verizon Version of the G4's UI. It's not polished enough yet and has problems in my opinion. That's my opinion. Your's might vary.

I'm sorry you got a dude , twice. I have the Verizon G4 and love it. No lag and battery is good. Good luck to you on your shiny new phone.

Battery life and quick charging are two things some people try to merge in to one. They aren't one, though. They're certainly closley related, and quick charging (and wireless charging) are nice features, but nothing...and I mean nothing...substitutes for actual battery life.

My point regarding Verizon was not to say that your brother-in-law didn't actually have issues with his Vzw variant, but to say that he may have on another carrier, too. The International G4 is a non-carrier phone. Different animal. Glad he's getting a better experience now.

Glad you're enjoying your Edge +
