The seller offers no warranty but is shipping through Amazon Fulfillment. Has a high amazon rating. I used to think Amazon was safe but it's really just outsourced sellers too so I'm not sure. This seller is the one on the main page of the project. Phone is just a little over $500 whereas if I buy through the Sony store, it's $579 so I'd much rather go through amazon if I'm not going to be cheated.

Thanks.

I was looking at this for my fiancée the other day. As far as I can tell if the phone came straight from the factory and unopened there should still be a warranty under Sony.

I guess I'll buy from ebay then. There's one that says the manufacturer's warranty is good for a year and it's only $519 (plus I have a 10% off coupon so it's $463 for me).

Seller seems to have a high rating and has been in business for 10 years so I guess I'll take the risk. Going to register my product with Sony immediately when I get it so hopefully that will tell me if it's fake or not (though I'm not sure if that's a solid way to check). Plus if I can, I'm going to buy the extended warranty with accidental damage off sony's website.

Thanks for your help.

urrg. I just received my ebay phone and it's a European model that operates at 240V. Adapter was included but I don't want to have to carry an adapter with me all the time. So misleading - they ship out of Tenessee, US. US operates at 120V.

Do you know if I can just stick the usb cord into a US charger instead (that I can buy separately) so I don't have to carry an adapter with me everywhere?
EDIT: I called Sony. They say 110V charger should work. But the supposed 1 year warranty was not valid as the ebay vendor is not an authorized seller. It's a real Sony phone though (from Saudi Arabia).

Thanks.
