Samson S6, No S6 to Computer connection

No USB icon to change MTP.

I pull down the notification shade after connecting and there is NO USB Icon! There are Notification Settings and a panel that says Quick Connect but nowhere is there any other USB icon. With Android V5.X it worked but since Android 6.X it was never there.

Thanks for the help - I got it working. It is the Charging Notification problem - I downloaded a USB substitute that was messing things up.
