After updates now stuck with these problems.
- home/switch between apps/back arrow: now cramped on the bottom right and Samsung's own status bar on the bottom.
- Tomb Of The Mask: no sound whatsoever.
- Word: previously opened documents (on tablet not cloud or online) not recognised as opened, so to reopen the immediate previous one you have to go all the way thru to the folders it's stored.

I had my old Sony tablet, none of these issues whatsoever, Word on my A71 works perfectly fine.

Tried Microsoft community for Word which agreed it must be Samsung's fault, asked Samsung but they havent a clue.

Does anybody share my grief, even a factory reset was useless oh and I git duped into having my google registered with them something I never had to do with my old device.

Samsung A8 tablet operating flaws very unhappy * posted again cos i cant reply

Tried uninstall for both Tomb and Word few times before and after factory reset but no joy.
So unless Samsung or whoever can fix it i'm stuck with the problems.
I thought about swapping over for a replacement but figure maybe i'd get the same crap.

I merged your duplicate thread into your existing one, and made you the owner of the duplicate post. Are you having trouble signing into your Android Central account?

Samsung A8 tablet operating flaws very unhappy * sorry again

Sorry admid I'm having the most atrocious luck trying to reply to my own thread. I registered with Google and did my username but never made password. I'm struggling bigtime.

I'm hesitant about the factory reset (j haven't done the hard reset) cos I'm unsure if both the normal or hard reset cos after their done Samsung will just harass me to install the latest upgrade and be stuck with this crap all again. Mind you I normally try to avoid the latest upgrade prompts but with this current farce I extremely hesitant about getting scalded again.

I suggested wiping the cache partition, not doing a factory reset -- the cache partition wipe doesn't affect user data. It can help sometimes with various glitches (especially after a major update), because it helps "clear the cobwebs" from the system, so to speak.

The website I linked may be called "hardreset.info", but the information there is more than just about hard resets. Just make sure you don't select the Wipe Data option in the Recovery Menu.

Apologies lm not that techy.

Model is SM-X200
Update- x200xxsc1cwa4/x200olm1cwa2/
Security patch level 1 jan 23. But got prompted last week

As a test this morning I put Tomb Of The Mask on my A71 and works perfectly all sounds functioning but I won't be playing on my phone as the screens too small.

Hope that helps
