That's how I can tell u know nothin bout jay z. First of name 3 songs jay used auto tune??? Can't cause it is none. And many old school artists used whole songs auto tuned and made hits btw. I for one will be scoping this album.

Auto tune did not exist in the 70s and was rudimentary in the 90s. It came into its own for talent fraud in the last decade where the algorithms for sound waves and curves could be easily manipulated. They had reverb and other tricks before that, but stood out.
Added: That said, I love funk & soul, but not much a fan of hip-hop. A fan is a better judge since appreciates the grooves better.

Computer love was auto tuned. Most of rick James hits was auto tuned u can't teach me bout music I'm not a lil kid bro lol. That said I love rap hip hop rnb jazz and soul music. Including jay z nas Eminem 2pac biggie.

As far as auto tune, I am referring to high resolution digital auto tune with sound wave algorithms that are scary good at faking a good voice. Those have been around after the 90s and pretty much "perfected" now. True, there were analog effects, but nowhere as crazy as now. The old school auto tune is like with Milli Vanilli and Paula Abdul
