samsung captivate sd card..pictures duplicated

When I open my gallery to view my pictures...all the pictures saved on my sd card have multiplied....every picture has 5 or 6 copies of itself. I had about 500 pictures and now they have multiplied into over 2,000 pictures. I dont know what happened or what I did. I erased the media card and reformatted it. Then I placed all my pictures back onto the card....an hour later they had multiplied again. Can someone help me? I have only had this phone for maybe 2 weeks.

its a glitch with the gallery 3d app that comes pre-loaded. download quickpic from the market and use it, it's a much better gallery app. the only way to stop the duplication problem that i have found is to move the pictures to the internal sd card.

Thank ya'll so much. I thought it was something I had done or downloaded. I got quickpic and you are right. I like it much better than the gallery app that came with the phone.

So did you end up removing the gallery 3d app from your phone after installing quickpic? Also, which version of quickpic did you use?

I don't know which version it is...lol. it was the free one. And I don't know how to remove the gallery app that came with the phone.

They fixed this in the official 2.3.3 released in Canada. I would think you'll get this soon.
