Mine is being shipped to our beach house 3 hours away because I was told it would arrive the week I am down there. I will not be happy if they send it there 2 weeks before while its being rented by someone else.

I chatted with rep at store yesterday, we talked about the new S3 for a while, he told me about expected ship date. We then talked about the weather for the weekend and he gave me hot tip on what the lotto numbers would be that night. Turns out he didn't know much about what he was talking about. He was wrong on the lotto numbers, wrong on the weather and you can bet he'll be wrong on the ship date.

Evidentally this rep didn't get the memo....

Apparently she didn't get past basic compression of English. 24/7 Means all day every day, yet when I call the number listed I get an automated woman saying they are open Monday - Friday 8 am CST till unknown, because I cursed and then hung up after the first part.

If this rep can't even get the business hours of company that she works for correct, I have my doubts about a the release date information.

We need to accept that Verizon is the worst network you can be on if you are a "phone enthusiast" and at the same time be reminded that its the best network to be on once you have "the phone".

I strongly disagree with you on it being the best network to be on once you have the phone

Considering just a single line will run me 130 and that's BEFORE insurance,taxes and fees for a minimal improvement over Sprint will still cost 50 bucks more per month. 40 over t mobile but with t mobile I can get2lines on a family plan for 10 bucks more. Then as a bonus, I can be underground on the train in a tunnel and t mobile is the only company that still gets service and data there.

Verizon falls short every time.

If cost is your sole concern... then you are correct. Verizon's LTE is practically everywhere... how about T-Mobile or any other carrier? Hell.. will TMO even be in business next year?

That depends on what part of the country u are in .... My buddies in ny ... Long island and the 5 boros love t mobile , I don't know how they fare outside of these areas though.

why does 1 line cost that much? I have 5 lines and pay $100 more and that's with 2 data plans, 3 lines with insurance (1 iPhone).

I can tell you that here in the NY/NJ area Verizon is the only carrier that has a signal in the commuter tunnels so it makes a difference what area you live in. In this area Verizon provides the best coverage hands down.

After almost 15 years of hearing horror stories of other drivers and their carriers coverage, mostly lack of it, and my personal experience, I can say that Verizon's coverage is exemplary. And now, on 4G, it is unmatched. AT&T has a decent network, Sprint and T-Mo are overgrown regional carriers. If you get great reception where you live and work, then it's great for you, but don't try to compare your carrier's 3G or 3.5G local coverage to a nationwide 4G network.
I mean that in the best way possible.

.. and July 9th is the date they gave you as when it will ship by. Place in 2 day shipping into the equation, and viola, the puzzle comes together.
