Samsung.com Orders

for those who are fortunate enough to have successfully checked out and placed the order, may i ask if your credit card was immediately charged?

mine was, and that's very different from previous years. iirc, in previous years, there were excitement posts galore when folks would post, days after their orders were placed, that their card was charged!!! meaning they feel that shipping date was close.

however, today, my card was charged immediately! wonder why.

If I remember correctly there is an initial pending charge from Samsung, that temporarily drops off over the next week or so, and then becomes a final charge once the phone officially ships.
 
And this is why Samsung should have just added the damn charger in the box to begin with. Smh

I absolutely agree with you but luckily I waited for about 30 minutes and it came back in stock again and I was able to get it added in. I'm not sure how bc I kept trying and trying to add it in and it kept taking it out of my cart saying it was out of stock. Not sure how they got it back in that fast.

Has anyone ever ordered a phone from Samsung and gotten it earlier than the date they say? I thought I read a few years ago some people got their phone a few days before it went on sale.

I got my S21 Ultra three days before the stores where selling them!
 
My Husband placed his order a half hour ago for a Green Note22U 256 & it took him 15 minutes on his first attempt.

Seriously, is there no justice in this world? :confused: ;)
 
I'm bout done with trying to order. Get everything ready and it says can't ship to my address. Since when? Samsung ships here all the time. Not matter what address I put in it says can't ship to it.
 
White 256 availability kept changing. Then my first responder discount kept disappearing upon checkout. Had to switch to education discount.

Wow, I had the opposite happen to me in the fact that my education discount disappeared at checkout no matter how many times I went back. I saw it on there all the way through and then at checkout it had all the other discounts but the education one was removed. Still don't know why. I wonder if there is a way to get them to add it back on there from chat support or something?

It must be something wrong in their system....when I bought the Fold I lost my discount but didn't notice right and they made good on it. Then they used an excuse that I had to use the same email as the ID.Me sight for verification.

It's probably a glitch.....there have been many different errors tonight. After I finally got my order, I couldn't use the 4 payment deal. Lucky when I changed payment to CC the white 256 didn't disappear.

Yeah I've never had so much trouble with Samsung lol. I was trying to do 4 payment deal too. Guess I'll see if they ever fix it and hope the sky blue and backordered by time I can order.
 
I am trying to order two unlocked s22 Ultras and the Tab S8 ultra, but Samsung.com is swamped right now.

This seems eerily reminiscent of the pixel 6 launch day debacle... I've never ordered anything on launch day, is this typical? Sounds pretty stressful to me :eek:

Yes it does and it might just end up the same way for me....remain with a two-year old Pixel. It's 1:45AM and still cannot actually place an order. BS

We feel your plain. Strange thing is some, myself included have been able to order while others still can't. I'm sure Samsung will fix the server issues soon enough.
 
I do believe I am moving ON. Not sure there has ever been anything made I would want that causes this much BS. Over an hour and half wait on the phone, chat does not work, and I can only think that by the time I did get through the phone would be on back order for months, the specials would be gone.

Price is in AUD, so it's not like I got massively ripped off haha.

I'm moving from a Pixel 6 Pro which I've had a TONNE of issues with (seriously, if you were considering one, do not get one. Months later, it's still extremely buggy). So I'm really looking forward to the S22 Ultra arriving. Was hoping it'd be released earlier than 3 March, but I can wait a few extra weeks.

Want to see that beautiful screen and super fast/accurate fingerprint scanner again haha.

Just got back from a walk in the woods, good thing no lions, weird thing, I left the screen on the order page and when I returned, it had the button to finish the order; so I tried it, and it worked. Took somewhere between one minute and two hours for that button to appear.

And I went back to my original idea of a white phone; worried red or blue might grow old over time.

Got the full $250.00 credit so one pair of black pro earbuds and one pair of buds live; they will eventually be sold.

And yes, it appears I got the full 12% from Rakuten, or at least it states the 12% amount is pending. HOWEVER, there is no $30.00 for first order, only a $10.00 credit for first order (no complaining just noting).

Anyone else use Affirm? They had a four payment special that added $25.00 credit. I was going to pay it all, but if they want to give me an extra $25 for paying it all in four payments vs one; not a problem. However, if you used Affirm, did you get the $25.00 credit? I don't show it on my final order paper work.
 
Aw, man! I missed the excitement yesterday! Although, Samsung sent me a flashy email saying, "Pre-order your new Samsung Galaxy S22 phone NOW!" and that should have clued me in...

Can't afford a new phone now, but the S22 is definitely on my watch list. Time to live vicariously through all of you! Whee!
 
It really would be mentally exhausting and especially since Samsung had to have known their servers were going to get slammed today. And as someone mentioned earlier in the thread, you would think someone as big as Samsung would have been more prepared than they were.
It's possible that the demand far exceeded their predictions. But even if not, their options may have been limited. If there are going to be a few hours per year when server load is 20 times higher than at any other time, it would be wasteful to set up several times as many servers to accommodate those few hours. It's better to rely on customers to have the good judgement to notice the overload and return a day later.
