I believe it states that it is an instant credit that can be used with the phone order. My plan is to get the phone, the Galaxy Buds + and the 45 watt charger all in the same order.

They allowed to use the credit toward the selected accessories when I ordered the note 10 plus. You also have the option to use the credit later.

So based on previous history, will the pre-orders go live on Samsung.com at 12 AM EST on Friday morning? For west coast people will they be able to order at 9 PM PST Thursday, or will they have to wait until 12 AM PST?

That's a good question, I didn't even think about that.

may i ask why one would get, for example since i'm with TMobile the TMobile version on Samsung.com rather than getting the UNLOCKED version? they are the exact same price in my case, for the S20 Ultra 512gb.

i can't understand why i wouldn't choose the unlocked version!

Last year when the S10 preorders were rockin the thread was quite comical, Stalking the Fedex truck, etc...hope we can have fun this year as well....
We may need a US preorder thread as they seem to be a week ahead of the US

I reserved Unlock S20+ Cloud Blue 128GB. Was going to get the 512GB. But then when I do the trade-in again for Note20 or another phone. They dont care its 512GB. So the extra $150 is not worth it. Plus it still has MicroSD expansion.

But I might get the S20. Would like something smaller for awhile. No mmWave in Miami. Dont take that many pics that require zoom either.

Thought about that too. Do you think the 6.2” S20 missing the mmWave is a big deal as the regular S20 will not have that radio from what I have read?

It should be whatever time zone it is announced for and just add or subtract your difference.

Understood. So being that I live in the Pacific time zone, I should be able to pre-order on Samsung's website at 9 PM Thursday evening.

The unlocked one is easier to move between carriers. Not all carrier adavanced calling features are compatible with the unlocked.

With Verizon you can still get wifi calling on unlocked as an example, but I think the enhanced calling or Verizon video calling isn't supported. The Verizon model doesnt support Samsung's find my mobile which has more features than Googles find my device.


I believe Tmobile still supports wifi calling but I'll let @mustang7757 answer that.

I believe so....I dont think they would change it to do something wacky like having different preorder start times for US.
