My husband just asked me if I ordered my phone and I said not yet and told him a little about what's going on. He said well we've sold our phones before but their used to be a kiosk in the mall and they used to buy back phones I googled and think their gone now. And most buy back places are giving less than the $500. Husband said he does want unlocked this time I didn't really but it looks like that's the only way for the $500. I did look on Swappa to see what their going for and their is only one 512 Verizon the others are unlocked. I'm afraid if I buy out right and try Swappa it won't sell.

I mean technically we made 200 a piece when we got the 22U for the $1000 trade in of the 21 and the 512's were 399 a piece. So we're still ahead but still only 500 and you have to get unlocked I don't like that. How does Ratuken work I signed up? Do you get cash back or just money to use on certain sites they list online?

You can flash the unlocked firmware on a Verizon branded phone. That's what I'm doing

Rakuten gives cash back. I went through them yesterday to Samsung. Com. I will get 15 % back.

They recently just built a Fedex hub just 1.5 miles from my house by the airport. Is it possible I get my phone a day sooner than the others? Samsung uses 2 day air now. UPS they used to use overnight. The airport btw doesn't get fedex flights, just the area they built it in but it's a big hub. Like my package for my business came to the hub there and directly to the delivery truck instead of going to ft. myers which sometimes would miss the cut off time.

C'mon now, we all know that even if you were scheduled to get it a day earlier, a storm is just going to track right by to delay your phone to a day that you are traveling and out of the state.

But with Samsung now the only trade-in is if you do the $800 36-month carrier trade in I don't want to do that. They changed it! But I'm not even sure if we're doing it or not but if we do I might just have to do unlocked. I hate to pay full price for the phone and then not be able to sell mine.

So you mean if I fly to NYC I could have my phone today!!!

I'm thinking next Sunday night they fly out and we get them on Tue, the 14th or Wed the 15th depending on location, weather, flight delays etc. I don't think we get them a week early. IIRC the last couple times about 3 or 4 days before official release. Used to be we'd get them a week ahead of time but the unpacked events lately are so close to launch date now.

Fedex Home Delivery delivers on weekends too so it's slightly possible next weekend too but highly unlikely.

I have an s22U but I'm upgrading simply because my battery life is just brutal. People say they get great battery life with absurd amount of SOT. The new s23U can't be worse than what I'm currently going through. The battery is just horrible. No it's not weak signal or toggles on etc. I'm pretty technical. This is the worst I've had in any android phone since the note 8 really. And that was bad. And even my galaxy s4 back in the day. I did my pre order straight through Verizon. Samsung website has been terrible since pre orders went up.

I guess because ever since we came from Sprint with unlocked S 10 pluses our signal was already horrible with sprinting it was just as bad with verizon. And I guess I was just worried about getting another unlocked phone. But a lot of the S10 pluses had hardware signal problems. My husband got a new motherboard in his phone and it was a little better. I never turned mine in Plus I hear you lose stuff with unlocked like Wi-Fi calling and get updates after carriers. I don't know I just have great signal now and guess I'm worried with unlocked but I know I shouldn't. My s10 was the worst but like I said I think it was a known issue with the phone itself.

Someone refresh my memory on up to what point of your order status can you cancel. I'm still on the fence but pre-ordered a Ultra anyway just in case because I'm interested in better low light video recording and some of the other camera improvements.

I never by a carrier phone. I prefer unlocked. And I have purchased from samsung for several years now. Though last year I ended up buying an unlocked from best buy.

Weird, does your phone have a Exynos? I have a Snapdragon S22U and the battery is great on it and I'm connected to 5g most of the time. I've recorded entire concerts in 4k and still had tons of battery left.

I punched in Best buy just to see what the trade-in would be to get an unlocked and it told me it was only $400 but you got $100 Best buy gift card. I'd rather do Samsung and use Ratuken plus earlier it told me 100 plus 50 in credit. So with Verizon do we lose anything having unlocked like Wi-Fi calling or anything else. I don't remember how it was when we left Sprint and had our S10 Plus that was our first time with unlocked cause we knew we were leaving Sprint cause others always had signal when we didn't.

Also when you buy from Samsung does it make you use your credit right away? I think someone said it did it's been both ways for me in the past but last time I think I had to use it right away.

Heck your phones are barely broken in... and they're practically the same thing as the S23U. That's a lot of effort and money to go through for differences you'll probably never even notice in the long run. Just keep the awesome phones you have now and enjoy them

There is no order Samsung follows. People that order after you could get their phone first. You might have moved yourself up in line

With Verizon you have WiFi calling on unlocked. You also gain things on unlocked such as call and text on other devices. Updates, they come when they come. Look at it this way, if a update comes out that bricks phones, you have time to block it or it gets fixed before you get it. A lot of watch 4 users wished that was a possibility when their watches bricked after the update and they had to send them in to get fixed.

By the way real quick, how did your trade in go on the watch 4 deal? Then back on subject. Lol

Has anyone canceled their pre-order? I remember when the N20 Series dropped if you canceled your pre-order, they sent you a follow-up email with a link for an additional discount if you pre-ordered again. Just wondering if that's happened yet. These trade-in deals are pretty bad. I didn't realize how good or bad they were since I hadn't upgraded over the last 3 years. I figured now is probably the best time to upgrade since my N20U is 3yrs old.
