I agree except for the phone getting laggy and slow after a year. It does, but if we would do a FDR on that phone it would be snappy again. Phone that is FDR gives us a fresh start like a new phone.

I'm having withrawals! I decided it's not worth the trade in value they are fiving for the S22 Ultra. But I keep watching these forums and you all are making it tough on me. I really like that lime color. Ant my S22 Ultra is now getting like 12 to 16 hours battery life lately. That's not SOT, that is total battery life. But I'm going to hold out for a better trade in value or maybe this will be the year to switch to the Fold. I did survive waiting the extra time from the Note 20 Ultra to the S22 Ultra, so I'll survive this wait too - it just hurts right now while everyone is getting their new phones

i don't really know how to do a fdr though.

i know how to transfer data from a current phone to an incoming new phone, because that's simply using Smart Switch and wait and wait and wait for it to get done.

how do you do an fdr on a phone without another phone to transfer stuff to?

I always have a phone to do the transfer, one of the benefits of having a back up phone. It appears a lot back up to some cloud thing.

well, i transferred my broken S22 Ultra's info to my back up S20+ phone about a month ago.

there is at least one issue with that transfer: the text messages that were recent got lost. so, i ended up on the S20+ back up phone for about a month (until tomorrow!) without the recent text messages.

STILL no movement after arriving at Newark! this is so incredibly slow!

all i have is "departed Newark hub", but no arrival scans at all! this is 16 hours after it left Newark.

Newark is not far away from me at all.

I've seen a couple unboxing videos of the graphite. It looks a lot better in those than Samsung's press images. I'm sure you're gonna love it! I went with Lavender because it's the one color I've never owned.

Mine will sit in Omaha all weekend with no movement and about 8 to 9 Monday morning it will update leaving Omaha arriving destination facility and on truck for delivery.

I just use Smart Switch's PC version. I back up the phone to the PC, perform the FDR, and restore the items I want back to the phone. I've never lost anything. I routinely backup my phone to the PC.
