I've gotten DeX to work great on both my Dell desktop and Surface Pro 5. It is cool and all, however, that wasn't the original intent of DeX. It was to turn your phone into a laptop (essentially a Chromebook).
My question is this:
Do you NEED Samsung's DeX Dock, DeX Pad, or the Multiport Adaptor to use DeX without a laptop/desktop? What third party multiple port adapters would allow me to use DeX as it was originally designed.
Would a third party USB-C multiport adapter, BT keyboard and mouse, and a wireless display adapter "trigger" DeX, and allow me to use my phone like I would a laptop?
