When you say "Link to Windows" are you referring to the "Your Phone" app? If so, Your Phone app is a total joke compared to Dex to Windows computer setup.
Yup that's the one.

I'm curious, why aren't you using method #2 - DEX via a Windows computer?
Yup that's the one.
Mostly because I bought a cheapo monitor, HDMI to USC-C cable, and BT keyboard awhile ago, and I figure I might as well use them. Also there's a slight lag with method 2. Since my DeX-purposed monitor is right next to my laptop anyway, I usually just opt for the direct connection.
That app is in serious need of improvements and much more functionality, haha!
I can't get mine to work with the dex station and note 10 plus. It would with the note 9. If I don't use the dex station and go straight to the computer via USB cable it works. Anyone found a work around for that? I Like using the dex station being that it is already set up permanently with the computer plus it keeps charging the phone while hooked to the station.I'm actually having some issues using the Note 10 + with my Dex Station... The screen keeps going black and then the Source can't be found comes on the screen for my TV. I made sure the power brick is fully plugged in. Checked the HDMI cable to the Dex and the TV ports. Everything seems to be ok. Yet I keep getting this problem. I didn't have this with the Note 8 until the usb c adapter wore out and I bought another 2 pack of them. I use the adapter because I keep my phone in a case. And the case won't work unless I use a adapter. Should I try adapter with a extension?
Mine isn't working connecting USB-C to HDMI. The phone gives me a notification to use genuine Samsung DeX accessories and the Win 10 app says to reconnect which I've done. Samsung support tells me I have to buy there $36 DeX cable. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Are you trying to run DeX on your laptop/desktop? If so, the USB-C to HDMI won't work. You plug your phone into the USB port not the HDMI port. A standard USB-A to C cable will work. If you have USB-C on your system, then the included USB-C cable will work.
Awesome my company blocks so much there are a ton of broken web pages now. Mostly looking for the ability of playing downloaded Spotify playlists from my phone through Dex. I had a lot of playlists downloaded on my work computer before the IT department put the end to that working.
Hmm, interesting. Does the lag only happen upon startup? Or is there a lag whenever you click on something?
I asked that question too. It seems to be a solution in search of a problem. DeX (like Microsoft's Continuum) was designed to turn your phone into a PC type system.
Is the DeX Windows 10 app a self-contained executable, or is it an install file that requires admin access to run the install program?
